Correcting Home Theater Audio Video Synch Problems
One problem that has cropped up in home theater is Audio Video Synchronization. Sometimes you may notice that the audio soundtrack is slightly ahead of the video image when watching a high definition cable/satellite program or upscaled DVD/Blu-ray Disc video on an HDTV. This is especially noticeable on close-ups of people speaking. It is as if you are watching a dubbed foreign movie. For some useful tips on how correct this, check out my article: Correcting Home Theater Audio Video Synch Problems.

Lord of the Rings Trilogy Extended Edition Blu-ray
If you have an HDTV and still don't own a Blu-ray Disc player to take full advantage of its capabilities, here is probably the best excuse to get one that has come along so far - the release of the entire extended versions of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy on Blu-ray Disc. Each of the three films (Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and Return of the King) takes two discs each and features a DTS-HDMaster Audio 6.1 channel soundtrack, along with multiple audio commentaries for each film...Read more.
