Today From Jen Hubley, Your About Today Editor. At this time every year, I make plans for my Super Bowl Sunday ... and then realize that I have no idea what will be happening on my TV screen. (Seriously. I forgot it was football season until about a month ago. Judge me if you must.) The Basics of Football I once asked my friend Isaac if there were any actual rules to football, or if people just randomly decided to jump on top of each other in the middle of the field. His scorn was visible from space. A Glossary of Football Terms Some of these terms just sound like sports drinks: red dog, redshirt, red zone. That's a lot of red. About the Indianapolis Colts I have family in Indianapolis. The last time they were this excited about a sporting event, a racetrack was involved. About the New Orleans Saints I love Saints fans.
