This week I reviewed Create and posted my picks for the top 10 Wii games of the year. This is the first year it was tough to keep the list at 10 games; in 2008 I had a "top 7" because that was about all that was worth highlighting.
Alas, I fell short in my ambition to also review Michael Jackson: The Experience and EA Active 2. I played the Jackson game for a bit, it's decent but not as interesting as Just Dance 2 and that lessened my drive to review it promptly, although I'll review it soon. As for EA Active 2, the game is acting very finicky and not registering my movements even though it has two sensors plus the Wii, so I'm going to have to work with it for a while.
Also, I was distracted from both games by the arrival of Lost in Shadow a platformer I've been looking forward to for a while. Kudos to publisher Hudson for getting the game to me almost three weeks before it's release date! (I'll post a review when the game ships on January 4.)
I probably won't get a lot done this week, because of holiday plans. At some point soon I still hope to review Jackson and Active 2. I was also planning to take a look at The Sims 3, but after reading the savage reviews on amazon.com I'm not sure it's worth it.
