This week I cover a little on Wii Homebrew - a new media player and some info on skipping system updates - and discuss Wired's complaints about Nintendo's WiiWare system. My hands are feeling a little better, but I'm not sure I should start playing games yet. On the other hand, I've got Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands and Super Mario Galaxy 2 sitting in my living room right now (Sands goes on sale tomorrow, Galaxy next Sunday) so I don't think I can resist playing at least a little of them just to see.

How Do I Skip System Updates on a Homebrewed Wii?

System updates are dangerous to a Wii console with homebrew installed onto it, as updates can "brick" the system. But some game disks contain a system update and won't let you play the game until your Wii is updated. Is there a way around this?
