Sony Reset Password Mechanism Leads to More Compromise
After an extended outage resulting from compromise of Sony's PSN and SOE gaming networks, on May 14th Sony began bringing those networks back online. Upon initial login, Sony PSN and SOE users were presented with a firmware upgrade and encouraged to change their passwords. The problem is, there was a security flaw in Sony's password reset mechanism that left gamers with the very real risk of having their accounts stolen.

SpyEye Trojan Targeting Verizon Customers
The sophisticated SpyEye trojan uses a clever trick to steal financial data from Verizon customers who pay their bills online.

Another NASA Breach

Man-in-the-Browser Attacks
A man-in-the-browser attack is very much like a virtual game of keep-away. For example, you type in a Web address such as www.about.com. But instead of going directly out to the Web to fetch the address, the request instead gets handled by this process hijacker before it even leaves your computer. And the end result can be pretty damaging for everyone involved.
