As a designer, is it your job to correct the misspellings and related errors of the writer, the copyeditor, the client? What if you are the writer? Here's some "off the top of my head" thoughts on why spelling is a design issue. "Some people have laughed at this, but when my daughter was born we had to decide between 2 common spellings for her name: Theresa or Teresa.
