From Jacci Howard Bear, your Guide to Desktop Publishing
I mentioned it on our Facebook page but to the rest of you, my apologies for last Thursday's "untimely" newsletter. I was a bit preoccupied (it was my birthday) and that issue went out unedited and with some time-sensitive material that was past its due date. But with birthdays and a go-around with seasonal allergies out of the way (I hope!) it's back to the business of design and desktop publishing. Dig in!

The Worst Logo You've Ever Designed
We've all had work that either at the time or sometime later we've been less than proud of. We might even say the item was really bad. But could you intentionally design something, such as a logo, so bad that it would win the prize as the worst of the worst? Find out.

Makeover Projects
Actually, I have intentionally created bad projects from time to time. I wasn't aiming for award-winning bad, but I was trying to create something that could definitely use some improvement -- the "before" versions of some of our Makeover projects. Whether or not you submit them for critique in the forum, if you're looking for practice projects here's the place to start.

Extending Usefulness of iPad with a Keyboard
In case anyone has missed the news, I love my iPad. We're attached at the fingertips almost 24/7. OK, not that much, but I generally have it nearby. After about a month I added a bluetooth keyboard. A great addition! And over on the About.com iPhone/iPod Site I wrote a review titled, appropriately enough, I love my iPad.
