 | This week I take a look at two games that don't quite deserve their own reviews, the competent but dull Centipede Infestation and the intriguing but unpolished homebrew Adventure game Nowhere. This marks the clearing out of my game to-do pile, and with few Wii games on the horizon, expect a lot of top 10 lists and opinion pieces like this week's list of my favorite WiiWare titles. This is a good time for checking out WiiWare, since there are no Wii games being released now and at present the Wii shopping channel has more demos up than usual. So many demos that you should be able to entertain yourself for a few weeks without having to buy anything. | |
Two Reviews in One: "Centipede Infestation" and "Nowhere"
What do you do when you've played two games and only have a little bit to say about each of them? You jam them into one column. This hearkens back to the days when I reviewed games for the New York Times; the requirement was that I review two games in each column, and I always enjoyed finding a way to make one seamless column out of two wildly different games. | My Top 10 WiiWare Games
While most of my all-time favorite Wii games come on disk, you can download some truly remarkable WiiWare games from the Wii shopping channel. It's a great platform for small developers with simple ideas, and games tend to be $5 to $10. A few games are especially exciting, and these are in my list ofthe top 10 WiiWare games.
