| from Jacci Howard Bear The About.com Reader's Choice Awards are coming in March. But first, you'll need to nominate and vote for your favorites. During January 2010, you'll be able to nominate your favorite sites, services and innovations in categories ranging from the best IM client and email service to best Web design and Web browser. Then, in February, check back to see if your favorite nominees made the cut, and cast your vote. Winners will be announced March 1. There's no prize -- just the bragging rights that come with getting recognized by the readers of one of the biggest tech networks on the Web. Here are the desktop publishing categories. Start thinking about the software, apps, and Web sites you want to nominate. The form for accepting nominations will (magically) appear on each category page on January 1, 2010. At a recent family gathering I fired up one of my trivia apps and we discussed all kinds of oddball facts about laws, sleep habits, animals, and strange true facts about people. But another app I like when I'm looking for something to kill time (games... well, sometimes) is to tap open The Typography Manual. It's full of fascinating and useful information about any and everything type related. Check out the manual. |
