From Mary Landesman, your Guide to Antivirus Software
Scammers must have Spring Fever, because they've been out in full force this past week. To help you avoid becoming their next victim, here are a few of the more common scams circulating right now.

Apple iPad Testers Needed - NOT!
A new scam is promising recipients that you can test and keep an Apple iPad. What you are really testing is the power of human-driven viral marketing scams. Instead of you getting a free gift, you'll be giving the scammers the keys to your virtual kingdom.

Color My MacBook Scam
Facebook users are constantly plagued with scam offers for a free MacBook Air. The pitch starts with a Facebook message from a friend of yours (aka victim) who recommends the "FREE Mac-Book - Product Testers Wanted [Participation Required]" program. Not only will you be spending wads of cash to qualify, you'll be selling your friends out in the process.

Kim Jr: Scammer at Law
This bogus email tries to trick you into believing it's private correspondence from an attorney. If you fall for the trick and reply, you'll be kicking off the infamous Advance Fee Fraud scam.

Pictures Ruse Used to Spam Zeus/Zbot
Embarrassing photos of you posted online? That's waht scammers would have you believe. But while the photos may be fake, the backdoor you get trying to download them will be very real.

About Today: How to Make Chocolate Eggs

If you can't see this email, click here

About.com

From Jen Hubley, your About Today Editor
When I was a kid, my grandmother could do the best magic trick I'd ever seen. She'd take a bunch of raw ingredients - butter, sugar, baker's chocolate and so on - and make it into candy. This, to me, was loads better than pulling rabbits out of hats.

How to Make Double Chocolate Eggs
Look at these double chocolate eggs, for example, and tell me you'd rather have a rabbit. You wouldn't.

How to Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Eggs
These are my favorites. I think vegetables should taste like chocolate peanut butter candy. I would be the healthiest person on earth.

How to Make Sugar Easter Eggs
These eggs are delicious, pretty, and they have toys inside. They're essentially edible versions of those little dioramas you used to make in school.

How to Make Coconut Easter Eggs
Sweetened coconut + cream cheese = three dozen adorable tiny white eggs.

Making Videos

Watch Videos

From Gretchen Siegchrist, your Guide to Desktop Video
The general assumption is that shorter is better if you want a video to go viral. In truth, video length doesn't matter as much as content and quality.

Millions Watch TED Videos
Videos from the TED conference are basically lectures running between 15 and 30 minutes. So why have they gone viral?

What's the Best Length for a Web Video?
Anyone who gives a definitive answer to this question - 1 minute, 3 minutes - is wrong. The right answer is: As long as it needs to be.

How to Make a Viral Video
Ready to try to make your own viral video? Here are some tips to help.

Content Delivery Networks
If your videos run long, you may need to sign up for an account with a content delivery network, since free sites like YouTube limit the length of video uploads.

Priced at $749.99, the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 705HD 3LCD Video Projector is targeted at the budget-minded. With its compact size, the 705HD can be placed just about anywhere. The 1280x800 pixel resolution and 2,500 lumen output, combined with a 3,000:1 contrast ratio, displays a bright image, but black levels are not as good as on slightly higher-priced projectors.
