From Jacci Howard Bear, your Guide to Desktop Publishing
We started our online countdown of 48 days of desktop publishing on April 1. If you missed any of the first 14 days, catch up now with your Daily Dose of DTP.

Pay For Your Software One Month at a Time
You could pay about $1900 for the Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium and then a few hundred more when the next upgrade comes out or $139 a month for as long as you keep using the software... Hmmm... how does that sound to you? Learn more about the new Adobe software subscription service. Cast a vote in our poll and add your thoughts on whether or not this is a good way to handle software and software upgrades.

The Print Shop
Does anyone like the 2.0 version of The Print Shop? Judging from our user reviews, no. If you do, you may be in the minority. But if you do like it, tell us why.

Your Software Reviews
Do you use Adobe, Apple, Microsoft, Quark, Broderbund, Serif, or Xara software? Share your opinion of any of these software programs used in desktop publishing. Read what other users have to say as well. I'd also like to hear from you on your favorite free software and other specialty programs for doing desktop publishing.

Top Reasons to Upgrade or Not Upgrade
In addition to Adobe's new subscription service they've got an interim upgrade from CS 5 to 5.5. Quark has just announced QuarkXPress 9. Users of Broderbund software have been in an uproar over the "upgrade" to PrintMaster and The Print Shop. So, should you upgrade your software to the latest and greatest? Here's what our users have to say. Add your own opinions too.
