From Jacci Howard Bear, your Guide to Desktop Publishing
The first kinds of lists that comes to my mind are to do lists and grocery lists. But there are other types of lists that go way beyond what we might scribble on a scrap of notebook paper.

And totally unrelated to lists: Join me on this Facebook page where I link to my blog posts, share random interesting links, and invite readers to post their own questions, comments, and musings.

Making a List of Products and Services
How many well done or poorly done catalogs do you receive in the mail? Do you find yourself critiquing the design of the menu as much as the items on the menu when you go out to eat? Catalogs, menus, and price lists are essentially lists of products or services. They could be boring lists, but they don't have to be. But not only can you challenge your design skills by turning a list of products into something the average consumer wants to read, they can be repeat business. Products change and the catalogs and menus need to change right along with them. Discover the role of desktop publishing in making a list of products and services.

Using Leader Tabs or Dot Leaders
You'll often find these lines of dots in catalogs, directories, price lists, or a table of contents. Make sure all your dot leaders line up properly.
