From Jacci Howard Bear, your Guide to Desktop Publishing
In the states we celebrated Thanksgiving Day and early in the month I celebrated another birthday. But on the desktop publishing front we covered a lot of territory from business to pleasure in the month of November. On the business side of things we focused on corporate identity systems -- designing things like logos and letterhead and corporate colors -- plus tips on designing all kinds of marketing materials. Mixing business with pleasure, I rounded up some fun and challenging logo games and quizzes to challenge your logo identification skills (and perhaps frustrate you just a little).

Do you sendout an annual holiday letter in place of greeting cards (or in addition to them)? Or, perhaps you're thinking of starting that tradition this year. Now is the time to start planning what you're going to say and how you're going to present the news. Make it a more festive holiday letter with these designer tips.

Talking About Desktop Publishing: Are you primarily freelance, in-house, or doing desktop publishing just for fun? That was the topic of a poll earlier this month. And as of this writing, those responding are freelance or hobbiests for the most part. But that could change with your vote so tell us Where Do You Do Desktop Publishing?

It's been quiet in the forum but phoenix helped out a visitor with some vector issues. In some of your other contributions, there's continuing lack of praise for the newest PrintMaster and The Print Shop titles while Publisher 2007 got some lyrical love? Our show-off of the month is a metal business card.
