In the states we celebrated Thanksgiving Day and early in the month I celebrated another birthday. But on the desktop publishing front we covered a lot of territory from business to pleasure in the month of November. On the business side of things we focused on corporate identity systems -- designing things like logos and letterhead and corporate colors -- plus tips on designing all kinds of marketing materials. Mixing business with pleasure, I rounded up some fun and challenging logo games and quizzes to challenge your logo identification skills (and perhaps frustrate you just a little). Do you sendout an annual holiday letter in place of greeting cards (or in addition to them)? Or, perhaps you're thinking of starting that tradition this year. Now is the time to start planning what you're going to say and how you're going to present the news. Make it a more festive holiday letter with these designer tips.
Talking About Desktop Publishing: Are you primarily freelance, in-house, or doing desktop publishing just for fun? That was the topic of a poll earlier this month.
