Signed Rootkit .LNK'd to Zero Day Exploit
A couple of digitally signed, rootkit-enabled data theft trojans have been discovered. One is signed with a certificate belonging to Realtek, the other to JMicron (both presumed stolen). At least one of these signed trojans was using a zero day exploit involving specially crafted .LNK files.
