From Charles Herold, your Guide to Wii Games

It's been a while since I posted a game review, due to problems with my hands, and I'm happy to finally be back to gaming with a review of the excellent Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. I've also got news on the upcoming Michael Jackson game and my take on an overreaching analysis of the Wii's ability to create emotion.

This week I've got four appointments with game publishers who have come to New York to show off their upcoming games; I'll be letting you know if anything looks worthwhile. This week I'll also finally get a look at the Wii's major upcoming competition, Microsoft's Kinect, which I'm very curious about. I'll let you know if it's the Wii killer Microsoft is hoping for.


'Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands' - Game Review
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands begins with an unusually exciting tutorial chapter in which the titular prince must escape ruins as they sink into the sand. Following a little golden tinker-bell like creature, the prince leaps from building to building, climbing quickly as the sands rise. Reaching a dead end, sinking quickly, the creature tells the prince that if he trusts her, he must leap into the desert. He does so. The game then flashes back to show why the prince absolutely, positively, should not, under any circumstances whatever, trust that creature.... Read more
