From Jacci Howard Bear, your Guide to Desktop Publishing
I decided to buy an iPad. Been using it in my living room and bedroom and at the library. So much easier to read my news stories on it compared to my iPhone (which I still love but it's having to take a backseat right now). I'm sure it will recover from the neglect. I've discovered some new design and tech related resources too. You'll see them popping up in my blog, on my Twitter feed, or on the About.com Desktop Publishing Facebook page from time to time.

And speaking of Facebook. As some Facebook fans have noticed, YOU can post messages on my Wall (I guess that makes it our Wall). Feel free to ask questions, share interesting links (with at least some kind of desktop publishing connection), or talk about your latest project. No spam please.

iPad: iDo or iDon't? - iDid
On Saturday I wrote, "Been thinking about getting an iPad. I'm still on the fence but leaning heavily toward that Apple tree." Then on Sunday, with encouragement from readers (and the fact that they started selling iPads at the Target store around the corner) I went out and got me one. Now, instead of telling me why to get one, I'd love to hear your recommendations on iPad apps. I'm already loving Flipboard. And still love to hear about how you're using your iPad -- for work, for pleasure, for whatever. Talk about your iPad use and Recommend some iPad apps

Before You Do Self Publishing
Have you thought about getting into self-publishing? Does the idea of being in complete control of the writing, editing, and design of your own book appeal to you? I've certainly thought about it more than once. Read more

Classic Fonts
What goes good with classic sans serif fonts like Helvetica or Myriad? Well, you probably won't go wrong if you choose a classic serif font. Perhaps Baskerville or Garamond or Stone Serif.

Are You a Font Fanatic?
If you could immediately identify by sight every font in those lists of classics then you probably qualify as a font fanatic. Or a font genius. I stumbled across this quiz from my site that I'd totally forgotten about. Take the Font Fanatic Personality Quiz.
