From Jacci Howard Bear, your Guide to Desktop Publishing
What's that you say? Some of you are still using software from 2002? And some of you are really upset about the newest versions of your longtime favorites. This week I'm focusing on user reviews of the best and the not so great software for desktop publishing. Plus, I'm highlighting some great software reviews and tutorials from some of my fellow About.com Guides. Dig in!

I've been away from the computer for a bit this past week or so but come catch up with me while I'm catching up on Facebook and Twitter.

Yes, Some of You Are Still Using Ventura
A week or so back I asked if anyone was still using Corel Ventura. Some of you are. And you're telling us that things that InDesign has only recently added (or is still missing) are in Ventura, even though it hasn't been updated in over 8 years -- an eternity in desktop publishing software time. Read what some users are saying and if you're one of the Ventura users, add your voice.

New isn't always better (something a lot of Broderbund PrintMaster users are saying these days too).

Adobe Desktop Publishing
Best or not? There's room for debate. But they are the industry leader.

Introduction to iWork for iPad
At the moment I'm immersed in eBook reading with iBooks and the Kindle app but I've thought about getting iWork Pages for my iPad. If I do, here's where I'll go to learn how to use it. iPad Pages Tutorials courtesy of About.com Word Processing.
