  from Jacci Howard Bear
I know not everyone is into iPhone but I've been wanting one for quite sometime. But there's always something else getting priority. Well, I finally got me one (the 3G not the newer 3Gs) this week and I'm busily trying out new apps for doing all sorts of fun things (oh, and learning how to use it to make phone calls too). I plan on writing up some lists and reviews for design-related apps later on but for now, it's experimentation time.

Also, be sure to vote in the Makeover Poll. We'd like to find out how much interest there is in a special kind of makeover competition we're considering for 2010. See the link near the end of the newsletter.

iPhone Color Tools
This roundup of iPhone apps is from About.com Web Design / HTML Guide Jennifer Krynin. I've got the Palettes Lite and it is rather cool.

What's That Font?
We talked recently about identifying fonts and WhatTheFont. I put together a tutorial with some tips on how to get better results by providing better graphic samples of your unknown fonts. Oh, and did you know you can use WhatTheFont with an iPhone? I've just added the app to my iPhone and I'll be trying it out soon.

iPhone Editors and Blogging Apps
Although the keyboard on the iPhone is easier to use than I'd expected, I'm not sure I'll be using it to type anything longer than a few tweets. But Jennifer has some blogging apps that sound interesting.

It's a simple yes or no poll. Please vote and let us know if you'd like to participate in a fun design contest. Not for prizes -- other than bragging rights. Elisabetta (Trinity) has more details in the message after the poll.
