It's conspiracy theory Friday here at About Today, in "honor" of 2012, the most ridiculous looking movie I might actually go see. (Don't judge me: I have a weakness for popcorn flicks.)

The 2012 doomsday prophecy involves Mayan calendars, the end of all time, and a planet called Nibiru. So it's obviously a solid basis for a fantastic addition to Mr. Emmerich's oeuvre, but not something you want to go stressing about.

This is my second favorite conspiracy theory: That we never landed on the moon, and the whole thing was staged in a Hollywood studio. I suggest we add a new wrinkle, and start telling people that a young George Lucas was an intern on the project. I think it will catch on.
