From Jacci Howard Bear, Your Guide to Desktop Publishing.
Even if you're not the sort to vote in every poll that pops up, I hope you'll take the time to vote in our About.com Reader's Choice Awards polls. We want to know who you think is the best in each category.

And if you subscribe to other About.com newsletters you may have already seen the new newsletter format. If not, here it is.

About.com Reader's Choice Awards: The Voting Begins
Find out which nominated software and sites made it into the list of finalists. Check out everyone then cast your vote in each category. A few categories, such as best source of templates, are already going back and forth as fans of each of the two finalists battle it out. Even if your choice didn't make the cut this year, explore all the categories. You may find something new to try. What's Your Choice?

Best Desktop Browser?
Chrome gets my vote even though it still has some quirks which sometimes means switching over to Safari or FireFox or IE. I don't use Opera but it's one of the finalists in the running for Best Major Desktop Browser. How do you browse?

Graphics for Everyone on the Mac
While Photoshop may be a top contender for the pros, if you're a more casual user who can't swing its hefty pricetag, what are you using for graphics editing? If it's one of the finalists in the Mac Consumer Image Editor category, give it your vote. If not, you may find a new favorite among. these choices.

Virtual Kids... Well, Virtual Worlds for Kids
Most of you may not know this but I spend a lot of time in the virtual world known as Second Life. I'm currently creating a Fontasy Garden on my newly expanded property. But more about that later... If you have kids and they enjoy virtual worlds see if their favorite is on the list and give it a vote.
