Cut Expenses
Sometimes there's no logistical way to take another job. I remember when I was a stay-at-home dad (I know! Is there anything I can't do?), there just wasn't much time for anything but baby stuff. And boy, did I nap when my daughter napped! Anyway, one of the ways to make life a little easier is cutting your expenses.

Frugal Is Your New Friend
My old buddy Dave used to bring this enormous cylinder of oats (the one with the Quaker dude on it) to work and I distinctly remember him going on about how breakfast only cost him 15 cents. So he's all successful and I'm using twist-ties to keep my sneakers closed. Anyway, my favorite item on Erin's list (she's our Guide to Frugal Living) is number one. I love that place!

Mortgage Refinancing
So BigMike emails me over the weekend and says he's refinancing his mortgage for the third time since he bought his home in 2009. If you own a home and have a mortgage, it's worth looking into refinancing because it's likely your biggest expense. Why give more money to the banks?
