From Bob Schulties, your About Today Editor
I'm really hoping there's no apocalypse that involves a lot of water because if that happens, I'm totally doomed. I've never learned to swim!

Swim Lessons for Kids
I can't say why, since as a grown-up, I've had plenty of opportunity to take lessons. Heck, I even took my daughter and my son for their lessons (note to self: Boy needs more lessons). Are you teaching your children to swim?

Swim Faster
I can see the appeal of swimming faster, even if I'm still not totally sure how people swim at all. I mean, I've mastered the "go in, panic and sink" part. There's more to it, apparently. And often that involves moving faster.

Baseball for Kids
My son's baseball season just ended. The bummer part is it feels like it was just getting started. They were hitting, running, throwing... Well, it was still pretty random as to what was going to happen, but it was a lot of fun.

Make It Fun So They'll Want To Move
Nagging saps the fun out of anything (as in me nagging my daughter about piano practice). So for outside activities, I just grab the mitts, balls and water bottles and ask who can throw farther today, me or them. It works over half the time and so usually there's no whining (or nagging).
